Thousands of lights are set to illuminate this famous BC garden for the holidays

Who’s ready for a truly magical holiday experience in BC? Victoria’s famed Butchart Gardens is set to transform into a festive winter wonderland with thousands of holiday lights starting this weekend. So get ready to fully immerse yourself in the season!

Visitors can roam the garden at their leisure, enjoying traditional carollers and music by a brass band as they go. If you’re looking to get into the holiday spirit with your loved ones, it’s all but guaranteed here.

Sing along to classic carols, indulge in tasty eats at Dining Room Restaurant or Blue Poppy, and take in the festive scenes of The Twelve Days of Christmas.

Note that the Japanese and Mediterranean Gardens will be closed, and pets are not permitted inside the gardens between 3 and 8 p.m. from December 1st to January 6th.

Want to see the thousands of lights as they light up for the first time this year? Plan your visit for December 1st at 5 p.m. (free with garden admission).

Tickets are priced at $35 per adult and $3 to $17.50 per child, and are available for purchase online.
