Don’t worry, though. The classic Burger King flavour is here to stay. It’s just the brand’s aesthetics that are getting a makeover. Why? Well as trends come and go, the world’s biggest companies need to consistently adapt in order to retain whatever bit of customer attention they can.

Yes, that’s the Global Chief Marketing Officer for Restaurant Brands International, which owns Burger King, Tim Hortons, and Popeyes. Just when we thought marketing decisions were made on mass data analysis and consumer trends, this guy hits us with the ‘buns don’t shine like that’.

So what have they got in store? They’re rolling out everything from a new logo, to packaging, to restaurant merchandising, menu boards, uniforms, signs, decor, and even social media. Heck, they’re even investing in new drive-thru and app technology to keep up with competing brands. Seriously, every inch of Burger King is getting an upgrade.

The new brand identity was created by design agency Jones Knowles Ritchie. It aims to simplify its look while emphasizing fresh ingredients.
