According to Bravo, “The filming location for the upcoming 22nd season of Top Chef will be (drumroll, please)… Canada!”

“That’s right, after spending some time in the midwest with the Wisconsin-themed 21st season, host Kristen Kish and longtime judges Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons will be making their way up North for the next season.”

The filming spot is close to home for one of the show judges, Gail Simmons, who is from the Toronto area.

“I am so excited to show you guys around,” Simmons shared in a video posted to social media. “Oh, and by the way, my parents are literally prepping their guest rooms as we speak, so be forewarned.”

The video shows Simmons in front of the CN Tower, maybe hinting that the season will kick off in Toronto.

“Top Chef” wasted no time preparing for the 22nd season, with season 21 concluding recently aboard a cruise ship for the finale in Curacao.

The competition is sure to span different parts of the county and we can’t wait to see where they stop!

Again, no date has been set for filming or a release but we’re going to be patiently waiting for the announcement.

Oh, and there better be a poutine competition!
