This lesser-known Ontario park is a secluded spot to take in the changing colours of leaves

If you’re searching for a peaceful fall escape this upcoming season, there’s a secluded plot of land that is home to picturesque views of rolling hills. Make your way to Boyne Valley Provincial Park for a wonderful sight-seeing adventure.

Boyne Valley Provincial Park is about an hour away from Toronto, just north of Orangeville. According to Central Counties Tourism, the park offers a more “secluded spot for leaf-peeping, away from the crowds” that are often found at Mono Cliffs Provincial Park.

It has trails that are great for peaceful walks, and its panoramic views are simply breathtaking.

Per Ontario Parks, Boyne River is a non-operating park. That means there are no facilities except hiking trails.

Visitors are permitted to fish, but hunting is not allowed.

Take on the Bruce Trail when you arrive as it offers a stunning lookout in the northern part of the park. Make your way to Murphy’s Pinnacle Lookout – you won’t regret it.

Be sure to add this outdoor adventure to your lookout list. And if you need any more ideas or inspo, we made a list of the best lookouts in Ontario for fall viewing.

Since it’s so close to Toronto, it is definitely day trip-worthy! So gather up your friends and get ready to embark on a lovely fall adventure this weekend.
