Calling all BBQ lovers! Vancouver’s iconic Ribfest Festival has evolved into the new Boots & BBQ Fest, and it features some of the best local BBQ makers in the game.
Next week, the City Centre Artist Lodge on Main Street is transforming for a doubleheader of events, starting with Public Disco’s summer block party. The good times keep rolling the next day on Sunday, July 20, 2025, with an exciting lineup of eats and local tunes from some of B.C.’s top country artists.
The family-friendly event will feature mouthwatering bites cooked by BBQ masters Rosie’s BBQ & Smokehouse, Yo Bones, Rebel Rebel BBQ, and Guerilla Q. On the menu? Slow-cooked ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and much more.
Live country tunes will be played by grunge rockers Pistol Whip the Devil, Okanagan fave Dane Bateman, powerhouse Mark Ledlin, and rising star Morgan Griffiths.
Guests can also peruse a variety of local vendors, enjoy summer games, and sip on an array of refreshments from Steamworks Brewing, among other spots.
“I’ve lived in Vancouver for a long time, but I’m a country girl through and through,” says Billie Jo Aasen of the Festival Company. “Being able to host a BBQ and country music festival in my Mount Pleasant home is a dream come true — it’s going to be a great day!”
The festival will run from 1 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2025, with tickets currently on sale for $10 a pop. Proceeds from the event will go towards Lifted Youth & Mental Health, which serves at-risk youth.
