Are you curious about what lies beneath? If so, a trip to Eganville, Ontario might just be in order because you can once again tour the Bonnechere Caves. These caves are a unique chance to see millions of years of history and fossils right here in your own province.
The Bonnechere Caves have been giving tours to the public for over 55 years. There are a few different ways to see the caves, a self-guided softly supervised tour for the explorer and a traditional guided tour for those wanting to know all the details. Right now, Bonnechere is operating on the self-guided model but will move into traditional tours later in June.

On your tour, you’ll learn all about the cave’s history and how they were formed as you walk along the tunnel system. While there is lighting in the tunnels it’s recommended that you bring a flashlight so you can see all of the details of the cave walls. Not only that but be sure to bring a sweater because it’s definitely on the cooler side underground.
You can grab your tour tickets from the Bonnechere Caves website and learn more about what to expect. With that enjoy and happy caving!
