If you’re supporting local this holiday season, there’s no better place to do it than at Toronto’s first annual Black Vegan Holiday Market.

Taste your way through a delicious feast of African and Caribbean dishes with a plant-based twist, made with love right here in our city.

These dishes are not only vegan but festive too, with menu items ranging from seasonal African/Caribbean ethnic foods and drinks to “new holiday creations that give North American fruits and vegetables an African/Caribbean mouth-watering twist of taste and texture,” the description says.

Once you’re nice and full, you can shop locally-made gifts for yourself and the loved ones on your list.

You’ll get to browse a variety of vendors selling cruelty-free skincare, health and wellness products, jewelry, cosmetics, and more, developed and sold by African and Caribbean entrepreneurs.

The market is put on by Black Vegans of Toronto, an organization for Black Canadians who are plant-based foodies and those interested in adopting a vegan lifestyle.

Why shop at the mall this season when you can pick up unique one-of-a-kind items and experience some new cuisine while you’re at it? Your taste buds will thank you!
