An immersive Halloween pop-up is taking over this Vancouver bar

Halloween lovers have a spooky (yet delicious) pop-up to look forward to this upcoming season. Starting October 1st, Butcher & Bullock in Vancouver will transform into a spine-chilling, immersive experience via the annual Black Lagoon pop-up.

The Halloween-themed event is bringing haunting decor and creative cocktails to 35 cities across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, and fall lovers will have an entire month to check it out in Vancouver.

Here’s a taste of what to expect at the Black Lagoon pop-up bar this year:

  • Nosferatu’s Rise – Coconut Oil Lot 40, Lustau Amontillado Sherry, Cinnamon Syrup, Bitter Queens Caribbean Bitters, and Saline
  • Hex Appeal – Fords Gin, Honeydew Cordial, Lustau Vermut Dry, Lemon Juice, Seltzer, Saline, Absinthe, and Chlorophyll
  • Memento Mori – Mezcal Union, Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur, Cruzan Blackstrap Rum, Cold Brew Concentrate, Giffard Banane, Lustau Amontillado, Saline, and Bitter Queens Chinese 5 Spice

Created by industry veterans Kelsey Ramage and Erin Hayes, Black Lagoon first launched in Toronto in October 2021.

“Black Lagoon quickly gained a devoted following of cocktail and Halloween enthusiasts, solidifying its place as an annual staple for Halloween celebrations,” share the  organizers.

Now considered one of the best bar pop-ups in the country, Black Lagoon is definitely worth a visit this October.

So enjoy the rest of summer while you can – but don’t forget to mark your calendars for this bone-chilling event that will be here sooner than you think.
