An Alberta-shot TV series starring Tom Blyth has been renewed for its third season

Wild Rose Country has been seen on screens big and small, and it looks like those who watch Billy the Kid, will get to see it once more as the show has been renewed for its third and final season.

Described as an “epic romantic adventure series”, Billy the Kid stars Tom Blyth (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) and is based on the life and times of a famous American outlaw.

Since the beginning, the show has been filmed in and around Wild Rose Country, so the upcoming installment will more than likely be shot on the Prairies as well.

“In Season Two, Michael Hirst, Donald De Line, along with Tom Blyth and the rest of our talented cast, captivated audiences with the dramatic events leading to the infamous Lincoln County War, during which Billy is struggling to hang on to both his soul and the love of his life,” said Michael Wright, head of MGM+.

“In Season Three, we are excited to bring the naturally cinematic story of one of American history’s most fascinating, and often misunderstood, characters to its conclusion, as only MGM+ can.”

Want to catch up before its final season premieres in 2025?

Canadians who want to watch this thrilling adventure unfold can do so on Prime Video now.

Happy watching!
