If you’re a fan of outdoor skating, winter 2025 just got that much more magical in B.C. Just 30 minutes away from Penticton, there’s a mountain resort that lets you skate through the forests of Apex Mountain.

A hidden gem of B.C. skiing, the full-service resort is known for its quality snow and terrain, with options for all winter enthusiasts. In addition to the enchanting skating loop, there’s a tube park that’s open every weekend – even at night!

A representative of Apex Mountain Resort confirms that the scenic skating loop is currently open and will remain in operation until the weather gets warmer, typically in mid-March. According to the resort’s website, the smooth, sparkly path is maintained by its Zamboni daily, ensuring skaters enjoy long, leisurely glides through the trees.
