Greenheart TreeWalk

Speaking of outdoor options, a pretty fun one returns to the UBC Botanical Garden this week. The walk is some 310 metres, offering a canopy level view of your surrounding. We’re not joking about the canopy bit, as the TreeWalk soars over 20m into the sky at some points!

Bloedel Conservatory

If you’re getting fed up of the rain (fair enough), then this could be the perfect way to forget about it for a little bit. After all, a space filled with tropical plants and birds is a great alternative to holding up an umbrella or stress-testing that new GORE-TEX shell.

Dua Lipa

Arguably the biggest concert of April also happens on the first day! Dua Lipa is heading to Vancouver to kick off the month, with Caroline Polachek and Lolo Zouai opening up for her.

For something a little less massive, but no less energetic, this could be the pick. Vancouver’s own Felix Cartal will be playing at Gallery, which also happens to be the newest nightlife destination in the city.

Slush Cup at Grouse Mountain

If you’re trying to squeeze that last bit of winter fun, then this is right up your alley. The Slush Cup returns to Grouse this April, offering a chance at glory for those brave enough to face the icy water. As for us? We’re happy with a few groomer laps and spectating instead.

Vancouver Canucks

Capture Photography Festival
