Welcome to the third week of January Seattle! We hope 2023 has been good to you so far and if you’ve yet to get out there and do something new, this week is the perfect time to do so. Here are 10 of the best things to do in Seattle this week.
Each year, United Way of King County invites Seattleites to “step up to learn, unlearn, take action, and celebrate moments and movements that make a profound difference in our neighborhoods and communities.” If you would like to be a part of that and give back to the community you can volunteer at the event.

When was the last time you had the opportunity to play pinball? If you can’t remember, it might just be time to try it out again for a little fun. The NW Pinball Collective has free, open sanctuary access for the public twice in January. You can check out their community and play some free pinball!

This month, you can enter a world of splendor, romance, glitz, and grandeur at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre. Watch as bohemians and aristocrats rub elbows in the stage adaptation of Baz Luhrmann’s revolutionary film. The show is directed by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers meaning you’ll get an enchanting performance.

Winter Brilliance is a new installation at Chihuly Garden and Glass, it was originally created for the Barney’s New York flagship store in Manhattan in 2015 for their famous annual holiday window display. You’ll find Chandeliers, Towers, Reeds, and Icicle Clusters – all using the icicle form. In total, the exhibition has over 700 hand-blown glass forms.

Now that Halloween is behind us, you might just be looking to get more in the holiday or winter spirit. If that’s the case, ice skating is a great option. We’ve highlighted some of the best rinks around the city for you to enjoy.
Candlelight Concerts have happened in over 100 cities around the world with more than 3 million attendees. For the Seattle series, there are 10 different concerts being offered with a selection of available dates. Hear renditions of your favorite artists like Radiohead, Taylor Swift, and Coldplay.

Head over to Bainbridge Island to see the newest exhibition from local artist Ginny Ruffner. “This retrospective debuts Project Aurora, a two-story light show inspired by the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis), and the Unperiodic Table, a tapestry enhanced through holographic images.”
