We love to be let in on a good secret! Time Out has released a new list of the best secret restaurants and two destinations in Canada made the cut.

The list focuses on places within the U.S., but they made sure to give honourable mentions to two restaurants here in the north.

Getting to these restaurants is an adventure on its own. These well-hidden spots are not easy to find but that only adds to their mysterious appeal.

These two Canadian restaurants are certainly worthy of their place on the list.

One is hidden in a nondescript building tucked between a highway underpass and a Home Depot.

The second one is on the rooftop of a Hampton Inn hotel in Chinatown of all places.

Both are located in Montreal, Quebec. If you’re not a local, this is your excuse to finally make the trip!

Landing in 8th place on the list is Gia, a “rustic Italian restaurant” located between the Autoroute 720 underpass and the Home Depot on Rue Saint-Antoine.

According to Time Out, this secret spot is known for its “sizzling grilled meat skewers, extensive natural wine selection, and making Uber drivers crazy.”

You’ll have to make your way to the southern entrance of the building in order to find it. If you end up in the parking lot, you’ve gone too far!

Also included on the list in 16th place is Terrasse Carla, a secret rooftop terrasse that is also one of the “most glamorous rooftop restaurants” in Montreal.

You’ll find it on the sixth floor of the Hampton Inn by Hilton, where you’ll get to enjoy French cuisine with Vietnamese flair and unparalleled views.

Are you up for the challenge of discovering Canada’s best secret restaurants? From the sounds of it, the search will be worth it.
