A new list has revealed 50 of the best places to travel in 2024 and one Canadian city has made the cut.
Travel guide website Travel Lemming has composed a thorough list of 50 world destinations, compiled by none other than its expert travel writers.
The annual list unveils “hidden gems and emerging destinations” that they believe we should visit.
“This year, our list is filled with places perfect for longer trips and embracing a slower – and more sustainable – pace of travel,” shares the site.

That being said, among the many other destinations like Norway, Panama, Slovenia and Peru, the only Canadian destinations mentioned is St John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
The travel site describes the city as a “special place” and filled with “fresh seafood, incredible nature, and traditions as old as time.”
They recommend visiting historic sites like Signal Hill and Cape Spear, trying some local cuisine, stopping by the Quidi Vidi brewery, and exploring the city’s famous George Street.

Just recently, two Canadian destinations were named in The New York Times’ annual list of 52 Places To Go in 2024 – Quebec and the Yukon.
And even Niagara-on-the-Lake had a mention on Trip Advisor’s best honeymoon destinations across the globe.
