The sun isn’t going anywhere for a long while, and great food and local talent are all but guaranteed at these exciting markets. So get your forks ready – it’s time to support local businesses & make some spectacular memories in the process.

Here are some tasty night markets to check out in & around Vancouver this summer.

Richmond Night Market

Open every weekend until October 9th, there’s still plenty of time to check out North America’s largest outdoor market. From candy sticks to boba, to customizable noodles, there are plenty of unique eats and drinks to enjoy here. Plus, for the first time ever, the food fair features churros and butter beer, in addition to the debut of foods from Indonesia, Turkey, and Mexico. In total, there are over 110 food booths and a menu of over 600 different treats to choose from.

The market is open from 7 pm to 12 am on Fridays, from 6 pm on Saturdays, and from 6:30 pm to 11 pm on Sundays.

Shipyards Night Market

The beloved Shipyards Night Market is officially back and in full swing, for the first time in three years. And you won’t have to spend a dime on admission!

Visitors can once again enjoy their iconic beer garden and outdoor market, and peruse the many mouthwatering food trucks in attendance. As well, the market is bringing back live music and DJs – so consider your Friday night plans made.

When: Every Friday until September 15th
Where: The Shipyards, North Vancouver
Cost: Free admission

Vegan Night Market

With several summer markets already under its belt (including the city’s first beachside night market), the Vegan Night Market by Peaces.ca is back and better than ever. Currently, the organizers are gearing up for their last July market on July 20th at The Waldorf.

Note that the final summer market on August 31st will take place at Locarno Beach.

When: July 20th, August 3rd, 17th, and 31st

Cost: $2 minimum donation

Fort Langley Night Markets 

From Island Jerky to Kona Ice from Chilliwack, to kettle corn, to vintage finds from Urban Vintage, there are tons of exciting vendors at the weekly Fort Langley Night Markets this year. Admission is free, and shoppers can expect to enjoy live entertainment as they peruse the market.

When: July 14th, 21st, and 28th; August 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th
Where: 9025 Glover Road, Langley Township
Cost: Free admission

Fridays on Front

And finally, we come to Fridays on Front in New West, which just kicked off its first community-wide block party last week. Best of all? Each night market will have its own theme, from ‘Bollywood Bash’ to celebrating Pride! Each date will feature a different lineup of food and drink vendors, as well as libations from the fully-licensed Steel & Oak beer + Pacific Breeze Wine.

Each night market will take place from 5 to 9 pm.

When: July 14th and 21st; August 11th, 18th, and 25th
Where: Front Street Mews, New Westminster
Cost: Free admission
