These are the best new products in Canada for 2024

Canada’s largest new product awards program has revealed the winners of its annual 2024 Best New Product Awards. From food to beauty and health to pets and home goods, here’s what to know.

According to the awards, over 15,000 Canadians took part in the national survey which had them rate products in 106 categories. This includes products in Food, Beverage, Beauty, Health, Personal Care, Kids, Pets, Household Care, Home Goods & Footwear, Restaurant Menu Items, and Services.

“There are so many new products launched every year and the Best New Product Awards program continues to help guide consumers to discover those stand-out new products that can meet their evolving needs,” said Kim Diamond, Vice-President of Best New Product Awards Inc.

“At the end of the day, the Best New Product Awards spotlight innovative products that are worth consumers’ hard-earned dollars.”

Per the awards, it was found that 74% of Canadian shoppers appreciate when companies make products more environmentally friendly.

When it comes to personal care and beauty, ‘gentleness on skin’ tops the list of “consumer requirements, and the top-rated innovations delivered through effective and natural ingredients.”

Three in five customers feel that store brands are just as good as brand names and many are willing to pay more for a new product if it is better than what was available before.

Though there were many top picks on this list, here are the first-place winners in the following categories:

  • Food & Beverage – Angie’s BOOMCHICKAPOP Sweet Chili Puffs
  • Health, Beauty, Personal Care, & Kids – Centrum Tropical Fruit MultiGummies
  • Household Care & Pet – Air Wick Vibrant
  • Home Goods & Footwear – Dyson Big+Quiet Formaldehyde

According to the release, the most significant trend for customers has been a ‘focus on value’ followed by health, sustainability, and convenience.
