Look we know it’s fall, so going to the beach is probably the last thing on your mind. Unless of course you’re thinking about escaping the city this fall and winter. Before you do, you’ll want to check out these 8 Washington beaches that rank among the best in the US.

Come on, is it any surprise that our state is being recognized as having some of the best beaches in the nation? With all our coast line, it’s easy to see how our state could steal the show. But just who decides which beaches are the best? The new ranking comes from Yelp who looked at beaches not in Hawaii and used user reviews and ratings to determine the ranking.

These are the top 10 beaches in the Pacific Northwest.

  1. Discovery Park – Seattle, WA
  2. Cannon Beach – Cannon Beach, OR
  3. Ruby Beach – Forks, WA
  4. Double Bluff Beach – Freeland, WA
  5. Boulevard Park – Bellingham, WA
  6. Lincoln Park – Seattle, WA
  7. Meadowdale Beach Park – Edmonds, WA
  8. Second Beach – La Push, WA
  9. Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area – Cloverdale, OR
  10. Owen Beach – Tacoma, WA

Look at that, 8 out of 10 beaches are here in Washington! What’s more, Seattle’s very own Discovery Park tops the list.
