It’s time to raise a toast, Canada. A few of our favourite watering holes have claimed top spots in a new ranking of the 50 best bars in North America.

The winning bars were announced at a live awards ceremony on May 4th in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

The list features 50 of the best places to grab a cocktail in the USACanadaMexico, and the Caribbean.

A voting panel is chosen to make the selection and the final list is a ” snapshot of the opinions and experiences of 260 bar industry experts across the region.”

These experts are made up of drinks experts, bartenders, bar owners, drinks media, and well-travelled cocktail connoisseurs who were hand-selected by a chairperson in each region.

Their votes are based on their best bar experiences of the previous 18 months.
