According to Destination Ontario, Bell Park is a large and scenic waterfront oasis in downtown Sudbury.

Here you can enjoy gazebos, a playground, an amphitheatre, and a beach in the summer.

Per Discover Sudbury, the park lies along the western shores of Ramsey Lake, which they call “an ideal natural landscape and favourite local spot.”

The park is home to a two-kilometre boardwalk that spans from Science North to the Bell Park Flower Garden.

In the fall, it’s a wonderful destination to truly experience the crisp autumn air and enjoy the fall foliage. According to Ontario Trails, the walkway is part of the Greater Sudbury Trail system known as Rainbow Routes.

“The mission of the Rainbow Routes is to develop and preserve trail for the betterment of the people of the City of Sudbury, and the enjoyment of visitors and nature lovers alike.”

There’s free parking at lots located at 506 Elizabeth Street and 100 Ramsey Lake Road, according to Destination Ontario.

Although you could make it a day trip experience, it might be best for a weekend getaway. That means you could explore more of the wonderous works of nature Ontario is home to.
