A night street festival with live music, food trucks & vendors is coming to Toronto

More street festivals? Yes, please! Toronto’s east end is getting a three-day street festival starting this weekend, featuring live bands, food, and vendors. And it’s all happening at night. Here’s what to know about Beaches Jazz Festival StreetFest.

This exciting street takeover is part of the Beaches International Jazz Festival, a month-long music fest that is held each year in July in the Beaches. According to organizers, it is one of the largest free jazz festivals in Canada with almost a million attendees throughout the month.

The StreetFest consumes a portion of Queen Street East between Woodbine Ave and Beech Ave for three nights starting July 27 to 29. Festivities begin at 6 PM and run until 11 PM.

Along with the StreetFest, the overall festival takes place at a number of venues, and stage concerts in several different parks of the area.

“Every year, the Festival brings in internationally acclaimed jazz performers while also showcasing local talent, including ‘new generation’ jazz musicians,” shares organizers. “The Festival now hires around 1000 artists per annum, including 50 bands for its ‘StreetFest’ event along Queen Street East.”

We probably speak for everyone when we say we love street festivals in Toronto. From the best food offerings to supporting local shops and more, we can’t help but get excited to enjoy yet another summer street fest blessing our communities.

Not only is it a perfect time to explore your neck of the woods but it’s also a chance to meet some new friendly faces and discover spots you may have never heard of before.

Everyone is welcome to attend and see what Toronto’s Beaches has to offer.

July is the month of street festivals and you don’t want to miss out on all the excitement.
