Bayfield is located on the eastern shores of Lake Huron in southern Ontario about a three hour drive from Toronto.

This village is popular in the summer months, known for boasting three main beaches.

The area’s most popular beach is Bayfield’s Main Beach. This spot has drive-up access, public washrooms, and parking!

Just outside of the Main Beach is South beach, often referred to as the Howard Street Beach. To get to this shoreline you’ll have to head down a staircase with approximately 80 steps to the sand.

Finally, if you want to escape the crowds then you’ll want to check out Houston Heights Beach.

Houston Heights Beach has parking, a large picnic pavilion (with washrooms), a woodlot and a small play area with swings.

This secluded location offers access via staircase as well, with approximately 85 steps down to the sandy shores.

If you want to hit the water then head over to the Harbour Lights Marina, Bayfield’s waterfront complex where you can rent a boat or canoe!

You’re likely going to work up an appetite after your day by the water. Black Dog Village Pub & Bistro is loved by locals, serving pub fare, an extensive list of whiskeys, beer and wine.

End your day taking in a stunning sunset, as Lake Huron is known for having some of the best ones ever.

Have a great time in Bayfield, Ontario!
