If you’re looking to cozy up and have a drink in Seattle, why not check out a speakeasy? With Valentine’s Day coming up, Yelp has shared a list of the best speakeasies in the nation, and Bathtub Gin in Seattle made the list.

“Who’s got the skinny on that swanky bar you access by entering a phone booth that’s inside a vintage TV repair shop? Just ask the Yelp Elite Squad,” it states on its website.

“Special passwords, clandestine entrances, surprising locations and delicious cocktails served in fancy glasses kissed by the spirits of flappers… sounds like the perfect date night. Prohibition is long over and Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, so it’s time to don your finest threads and hit the town.”

In a list they call “Best speakeasy in every state, that Yelp Elites couldn’t keep secret,” Seattle’s Bathtub Gin was the chosen one for Washington State.

As for how they reached the decision, Yelp says that they “identified businesses in the speakeasy category on Yelp, then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews by Yelp Elites.”

For those who haven’t been, Bathtub Gin & Co. is located in the former boiler room of The Humphrey Building.

According to the speakeasy, it was designed in “1923 and completed by 1928, The Humphrey was designed by architect Warren Milner and features extensive terra cotta ornamentation and is one of the largest of the pre-1930 apartment buildings still standing in Belltown.”

The space, which you can find through an alley, has limited seated and no reservations – as most speakeasies. But it should certainly be on your list!
