A free ice skating party is coming to downtown Toronto with fire pits and a DJ

If you’re looking for a little seasonal magic, the Barbara Ann Scott Ice Trail celebration is taking place in downtown Toronto this weekend. Don’t miss out!

On Dec. 6, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., College Park welcomes all to enjoy their seasonal ice trail, turning the space into a small pocket of winter charm in downtown. It’s a hit every year, and this year is no different.

What to expect at the Barbara Ann Scott Ice Trail Celebration

The afternoon brings free skate rentals, a live DJ with the hottest beats, and glowing fire pits. Hungry? Expect goey s’mores to keep you gliding all evening long.

There will also be festive photo ops tucked around the trail, perfect for capturing whatever version of holiday spirit you’re feeling this year. Don’t forget about the family-friendly activities happening throughout the event, too. There’s lots to do and see.

Nothing too fancy, we’d say, just easy ways to enjoy a winter afternoon.

Even if you don’t skate, you can lounge around, enjoy a snack, hang out by the fire, people-watch, or simply appreciate the moment when downtown feels a little softer, a little slower and more sparkly than usual.

Make your way downtown this weekend for a lovely evening of gliding beneath twinkling lights. Though snow is in the forecast for Sunday, fingers crossed we get a little snowfall magic on Saturday to make the experience even more wonderful.

We’ll see you there, Toronto! Bundle up and head to College Park.
