The coming winter means a lot more long and cold nights for Albertans, but it also brings the arrival of ski season.
With an Alberta ski resort just crowned one of the top in Canada, we’re in one of the very best provinces to hit the slopes.
This week, Condé Nast Traveller announced the results of its annual Reader’s Choice Awards, naming a few select Alberta locales in its list of best hotels, hospitality services and amenities.
Of those selections, readers chose Banff Sunshine Village as the second-best ski resort in Canada, and gave it the top spot for ski resorts across Alberta.
“Being ranked among Canada’s top ski resorts is exciting for every member of our team,” said Kendra Scurfield, VP of communications at Banff Sunshine Village, in a press release. “This recognition reflects the hard work and dedication that go into creating top-tier and memorable experiences for our guests and motivates us to keep raising the bar each season.”
What makes Sunshine Village stand out amongst the rest? Well, plenty!
You’ll find terrain for the whole family to enjoy at Banff Sunshine Village, from easy greens to the most challenging double blacks.
Banff National Park also boasts one of North America’s longest ski seasons. At least there’s someone out there appreciating Alberta’s notoriously long winters.
The resort raises the bar each season by offering ski-in/ski-out accommodations and world-class runs spanning three mountains of diverse terrain.
Banff Sunshine Village clinched the third spot in last year’s vote for top North American ski destinations. Their move to second is another feather in the cap of a team who are dedicated to offering the best in service.
It also offers some longstanding, serious cred to a ski resort that’s globally known for having “Canada’s best snow.”
If you can’t wait to hit the slopes this season, Banff Sunshine Village is currently offering its annual season pass with payment plan options available.
Ski season is almost upon us, and Banff Sunshine Village is officially one of the best places in the world to enjoy the fresh powder.
When: November to May annually
Where: Sunshine Access Road, Banff, Alta.
Cost: Varies by season pass
