Of the million things we love about winter, the one that’s way up there with a cozy wardrobe, snow-covered everything, and the holiday vibe, is the return of beer fests. In all honesty, we never really need a reason to have a craft beer. But when we get an excuse to drink (and even day drink) the best of local Albertan craft beers, we ain’t missing it for the world. So, if you see herds of people flocking towards Banff come December, don’t be surprised ’cause the Banff Craft Beer Festival is back on!
The Alberta Beer Festivals-hosted BCBF will be on December 3rd-4th, then December 9-11th. You’ll have two weekends to enjoy multiple repeats and have your fill of the soul-quenching beer all around. And, of course, the delectable eats that accompany it.
And let’s face it, there’s just one thing better than relishing delights from local breweries and restaurants- being able to do so amidst the spectacular Banff beauty with the snow-capped Rockies all around. So basically, the festival has the three things we need to kickstart a very merry holiday season- beer, food, and views!
Now, here’s the cherry on the cake: in celebration of the BCBF, there is also a Banff Craft Beer Week from December 3rd to December 11th. Throughout the Banff Craft Beer Week, not only will you be able to attend the festival, you’ll also be able to experience beer & spirit-themed activations both in and around the beautiful town of Banff and up on the slopes. From beer pairing dinners to trivia nights – and beer yoga to apres beers on the hill – there will be something for everyone.
