‘Ultra luxurious’: A massive new wellness & social club is coming to Yorkville

Something new and “ultra-luxurious” is coming to Toronto. The Liberty Village-based social wellness club Altea Active is bringing its latest concept, Avant, to Yorkville.

Described as a “unique high-design luxury wellness destination,” Avant will offer 31,000 square feet of wellness and lifestyle amenities in the heart of Toronto’s most upscale neighbourhood.

That includes “industry-leading studio fitness offerings, state-of-the-art strength and cardio equipment, private and small-group training options, as well as an array of ultra-luxurious amenities,” says a new press release from Altea Active.

Avant will bring the upscale comforts found in five-star hotels to the fitness and wellness space.

The high-end health club will occupy First Capital’s property at 1 Bloor Street East and is set to open in early 2025.

According to an Instagram post by Altea Active, Avant will feature “world-class fitness studios, impeccable aesthetics, unrivaled amenities, engaging social spaces, and thoughtful food and drink” in one place.

If you’re unfamiliar with Altea Active, it’s a Canadian brand that creates premium facilities that combine fitness, wellness, and social amenities in one gorgeous space.

In addition to the Liberty Village hub, there is a state-of-the-art facility in Winnipeg, as well as locations in Vancouver and Ottawa opening soon.

However, from the sounds of it, you will have to fork over a pretty penny to snag a membership.
