It’s show time! From British Columbia to Quebec, we’ve got our fingers crossed for a clear sky because the Northern Lights could be visible from coast to coast this weekend.

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), bucket list keepers should point their peepers to the night sky Friday, May 31st, 2024.

“G2 moderate storm levels possible on 31 May – 01 June a CME associated with the X1.4 flare,” they wrote on social media, adding that the Aurora may be visible from New York to Idaho.

This means that anyone in major cities such as Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver could see hues of green and pink dance from installation to constellation – as long as there’s little cloud coverage.

Down south and don’t want to miss it?

If you’re in Toronto or Montreal, you may be able to see lights on the horizon – but nothing is promised.

For a solid chance of seeing them, we’d recommend heading out of the city and away from light pollution, then letting your eyes really adjust.

Who knows, you could be among the lucky ones!

Good luck, bring snacks, remember to tag us in your Northern Lights photos in your photos and enjoy!

There’s nothing quite like it!
