It looks like the April showers that bring May flowers are starting a bit earlier this year. Our wild and wacky weather isn’t quite over because a strong atmospheric river is expected to drench Seattle with several inches of rain this week. The good news? It’s started more mild than initially expected.
March’s atmospheric river isn’t going to be like the ones that slammed the state with flooding in late 2021. What’s more, it looks like the river of rain will taper off after Wednesday. And for those of you who need to know exact numbers, the expected rain through Wednesday will be between 1 and 1.5 inches.

While things will taper off after Wednesday, the stormy weather will be back over the weekend for another stronger system. The full details for that weather is still in store so all in all, expect to get wet this week and weekend. Just remember it means that warmer weather is just around the bend.
