Here are the best free and cheap ways to enjoy Spring Break around Vancouver.
No matter the weather, Vancouver’s cherry blossom season is easily one of the most beautiful times of year. And with some starting to flower around the city, now might be the time to go a little hunt to check them out. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that this activity is completely, and permanently, free.

A free, outdoor event lasting almost a week? Yeah, that’s music to our ears. Quite literally, as the lineup includes some very fun concerts, activities, dance performances, and a whole lot more for anyone to come see!

The perfect option for those hoping to make the most of the end of winter. This North Van attraction is the largest skating rink in the region, and is free to access if you’ve got your own skates. Need to rent? Luckily, that’s cheap as chips as well, at just $5.

A good pick for those who wanted something off the beaten path. Not only is this historic site a fun destination in and of itself, but Langley is home to great shopping, some delicious cafes and restaurants, and more! In short, it’s an entire day of frugal fun.

Skip Saturday morning cartoons in favour of Saturday movies! Or do both, honestly. Throughout March, select Cineplex theatres around Vancouver are hosting family-friendly showings of some very fun movies. The best part? Admission is just $2.99!

On the same wave as the cherry blossoms option, the spring is no doubt one of the best times to see a major garden. And, lucky for you- the UBC Botanical Garden has got discounted prices until the end of the month.
