A huge international art fair is coming to Vancouver this week

Feeling a little artsy this week? We’ve got just the option for you. Art Vancouver, an international art fair showcasing dozens of artists and galleries, returns to this city this week! The fair will be taking over the Vancouver Convention Centre, and we’ve got the info to know before you go.

Back for the first time in over two years, Art Vancouver is an opportunity for artists and galleries to show their works in one space. While the focus in mainly on Vancouver and BC artists, the fair will also include artists from as far away as Kenya, South Korea and Japan. All in, there will be over 1,000 pieces on display, ranging from paintings to sculpture to installations.

That’s not all you have to look forward to, either. In addition to the exhibition space, the fair will also feature workshops, talks and classes from both curators and the artists themselves. Feeling a little thirsty during your visit? You can grab a glass of wine or a beer from stations on-site as well.

Art Vancouver kicks off this Thursday, May 6th and will run throughout the weekend. Tickets start at $20 for GA, which we have to say is a lot cheaper than a plane ticket to Venice or Miami or something. Keep it in mind, folks!
