The AGO’s popular Free Wednesday Nights to change starting in April

If you frequent the Art Gallery of Ontario on Wednesday nights to take advantage of the free admission then you’re going to want to take note of the upcoming changes. The AGO is moving its popular Wednesday tradition of free admission between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM to just once a month – here’s what you need to know.

The AGO made an update to its website where the AGO Free Wednesday Nights details are mentioned.

At the top of the page, the AGO writes, “Starting Wednesday, April 3, we’re moving to First Wednesday Night Free. Admission will be free on the first Wednesday night of each month, between 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM.”

In the past, AGO Free Wednesday Nights ran every Wednesday offering free entry from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM, now going down to just once a month.

This isn’t the first change the AGO has made to Free Wednesday Nights in the past either.

The most recent change before this was that a limited number of free timed-entry tickets were released on Mondays for the following Wednesday night with a limit of four tickets per booking.

So, if you enjoy free entry at the AGO, keep the first Wednesday of each month open, Toronto!

Art Gallery of Ontario First Wednesday Night Free
