This exciting venture gathers the best culinary, drink, and outdoor experiences in the region of Southern Georgian Bay, for one of the best self-guided tours. There are four regions that make up the trail such as Blue Mountian Village and Craigleith, Beaver Valley, Thornbury, and Meaford.

Each community offers its own local orchards and breweries, apple-inspired art, seasonal sweet and savoury menus, outdoor activities, shops, farmers’ markets, and more.

If you’re not sure where to start, there are some suggested itineraries you can embark on such as a family-friendly tour.

Start your tour with an educational farm tour at Good Family Farms, then enjoy a picnic lunch from Blackbird Pie Co, stop by Farmer’s Pantry for farm games and apple picking, make your way to Blue Mountain for some outdoor fun, and end your day with a casual dinner at Kaytoo or Firehall Pizza.

Another suggested itinerary will take you two days, according to organizers. For foodies, check out Goldsmith’s Orchard Market before making your way to Coffin Ridge Boutique Winery for a delectable selection, then head to Blue Gallery + Shop and The Cheese Gallery and shop from local artisans.

Experience an early dinner at Bruce Wine Bar and finish your night with Apple ‘Pie’rogies for dessert on Kaytoo’s pondside patio in the Village.

On the second day, take a scenic drive through the countryside to T&K Ferri Orchard, then explore Georgian Hills Vineyard, have lunch at Thornbury Bakery, take part in tastings at Windswept Cider and a Wild Edibles Experience with Free Spirit Tours.
