Toronto – keep your eyes peeled, because a comedy favourite is sure to be spotted on our mean streets soon enough! Alice, Darling, an upcoming psychological thriller by Lionsgate has already started filming, but much of the film’s cast remained a mystery – until now.

According to Deadline, Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect, A Simple Favor) is set to lead the audience down the rabbit hole as title card character Alice, a woman trapped in an abusive relationship who is fooled into an intervention by her two closest friends.

The movie will also star Charlie Carrick (Reign), Wunmi Mosaku (Lovecraft Country, Fantastic Beasts) and Kaniehtiio Horn (Letter Kenny), will be directed by Mary Nighy and will be brought to life by Elevation Pictures, Castelletto Films and Babe Nation; a Toronto-based production company who champions and empowers female creators.

Unfortunately, a release date for the film has yet to be announced but we’re sure it won’t be long! Kendrick has already been spotted at KitCoffee in Peterborough (as you can see above), so keep an eye out! You might just find yourself sipping coffee next to a Hollywood star.
