Someone wiser than us once said that if it isn’t broken, it shouldn’t be fixed, however, we’d be willing to be that they didn’t own a world-famous hotel. This week, the folks behind the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs announced that the castle in the Rockies will undergo major renovations this January in an effort to modernize a variety of its luxurious rooms.
According to a recent press release, the Royal, terrace, one and two-bedroom and Fairmont Gold suites will be reimagined from top to bottom before Spring of 2023, when the project is expected to see completion.
Described as being contemporary, classic, stylish and tranquil, these upgrades are meant to breathe a new life into the space and ensure that the hotel continues to be a premier destination for travellers from around the globe.

“We look forward to showcasing the newly renovated accommodation to our guests and to unveil the next chapter of our iconic property,” said Gregor Resch, General Manager of Fairmont Banff Springs and Regional Vice President of Canada’s Western Mountain Region.
“The renovation will allow us to continue to accommodate the needs of travellers and to provide guests with the highest level of luxury in the Canadian Rockies.”
How exciting! Luckily, until its grand reveal, you’ll still be able to stay and tour the hotel – but get ready folks. Big things are happening!
