These Alberta parks have cozy cabins that you can enjoy this fall

Wild Rose Country in the autumn? It’s a treat! While the days are chilly and the nights feel longer, there’s really nothing like a trip to one of the beautiful parks across Alberta to put a spring back in your step.

Luckily, if you’re hoping to get away for more than just a few hours, many actually offer accommodations – but you’ll want to book as soon as possible!

Interested in taking a little staycation? Here are just a few destinations that may have availability before fall’s end.

Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park

Surrounded by Boreal Forest and wildlife, The Nest at Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and is even equipped with WIFI. In addition to a cozy fireplace in the living room, it also has propane heating – so don’t fret if it snows again!

With room for 10 people, this staycation destination can be rented between August 4th and February 19th for $250 a night.

Located 5 km east of Lac La Biche, this dreamy island getaway offers an authentically Albertan experience and beautiful views. Here, guests can hike, go birdwatching or just relax in one of several 8-person rental cabins with friends, family or their special someone.

Cabins 6 to 15 are available between January 1st and December 31st every year and start at just $175 a night.

Cypress Hills Provincial Park

Have a much smaller group? With room for just 3 people, The Hut in Cypress Hills Provincial Park is quaint, but surrounded by towering trees and if you’re lucky, a wild animal or two.

The very best part? It’s available for only $100 a night all year round!

And there you have it. Just a few Alberta Parks where you can enjoy a weekend of comfort camping. Enjoy and stay warm out there!
