Alberta’s newest Nordic spa is set to open this fall with mountain-inspired hydrotherapy

A new destination hydrotherapy experience inspired by Alberta’s Three Sisters Mountains is now accepting bookings in Canmore, Alta.

Everwild Nordic Spa and Hotel is a flagship location offering overnight packages, boutique accommodations, and an impressive hydrotherapy spa inspired by Alberta’s wilderness.

It’ll be the first in a growing collection of Nordic spa hotels across Western Canada, with confirmed locations in Banff, Fernie and Calgary’s Harmony Community to follow.

“Everwild was born from the idea that wellness should be both experiential and accessible,” says Sky McLean, Founder and CEO of Basecamp Resorts. “We can’t wait to welcome our first guests.”

The spa will debut in late November 2025 and is now accepting bookings for thoughtfully designed wellness packages.

What to expect

Although it’s inspired by the ever-popular Nordic spa therapy, Everwild offers an experience that is distinctly Canadian.

Basecamp’s boutique hotel has recently undergone a complete rebrand from MTN House to Everwild Hotel. The transition reflects the experience’s broader vision to unify the hotel and spa under one name, curating a one-of-a-kind wellness escape in the heart of the Rockies.

Guests will enjoy an underground changing area which nods to Canmore’s coal mining history, which will also include gender-neutral and private change rooms to accommodate visitors from a range of cultural and religious backgrounds.

With elemental wellness as a guiding principle, guests will step into a spa environment inspired by the four elements. The space draws on local landscapes, seasonal rhythms and ancient wisdom, offering grounding therapies, mineral treatments, thermal cycles, sauna rituals and aromatherapy and sensory treatments.

“Each location will be designed to reflect its surroundings while staying true to our core philosophy of making meaningful wellness experiences available to more people,” says McLean.

Sustainability focused operations

Everwild is one of the first hydrotherapy spa experiences of its kind, with a firm focus on accessibility and sustainability at front of mind.

European spa technology at Everwild is designed to minimize water waste, reduce chemical use and lower energy consumption. Heat recovered from the saunas will also be repurposed to warm floors and preheat water.

Additionally, smart technology will adjust the temperature and flow of water based on occupancy. All of these features are designed to minimize the experience’s carbon footprint.

Blurring the lines between spa, stay and social space, guests are encouraged to move freely between their rooms, thermal circuits, dining areas and relaxation zones — all in robes and slippers.

It’s bound to be the ultimate staycation experience. Get ready to relax, reset and unwind!
