Alberta’s fall weather forecast is out & here’s what to expect

Halloween decorations are readily available in stores and the Pumpkin Spice Latte has landed in select coffee shops. Autumn is in the air folks, so it was only a matter of time until we got a fall forecast for Alberta.

Though we wish we ONLY came bearing good news, the unfortunate truth is that for the third year in a row, La Niña will be back this sweater season – according to Accuweather’s reporting.

A phenomenon that occurs when the sea surface temperature of the central and eastern tropical Pacific Ocean drops significantly – La Niña is expected to affect weather patterns across the country, but luckily, the prairies will get off pretty easy!

Despite a bit of rain (no more than we’ve seen in previous years) and some wind, Alberta will actually see near-normal temperatures.

Described as ‘mild,’ it sounds as though there’s very little to worry about this fall, so go about your business spooky season enthusiasts!

The fall forecast for Alberta is looking pretty good, and for that, we can be thankful!
