Adorable lake towns in Alberta that are worth a visit before summer’s end

Summer is in full swing and with the sun in the sky, another weekend on its way, and a towel under your arm, there’s no place like the beach.

Luckily, for those travelling around Alberta, there are several lake towns, cities, and villages where you can eat, explore, stay overnight, and make a splash.

Looking for somewhere to go for a dip, dive or a day trip before the end of the season?

Here are just a few places you can visit with your friends, family, or special someone.

The Village at Pigeon Lake

With small boutiques, restaurants, a spa, and a hotel, the Village at Pigeon Lake is a charming resort and town centre where you can sleep, eat, stay, and swim – thanks to its close proximity to the beach. It’s also open year-round, so even after the lake freezes over you can still check it out.
