From quiet lake towns to bustling cities, mountains and a mini desert, Alberta is an incredibly diverse province.

Want to visit a glacier and the hoodoos in a single day? You’re in the right place, but you’ll want an entire afternoon to hit Drumheller, home of the Badlands Amphitheatre.

In addition to the Royal Tyrrell Museum, scenic hiking trails, and the world’s largest dinosaur, one of Wild Rose Country’s coolest destinations is also where you’ll find Canada’s largest outdoor stage.

With room to seat 2,500 people, this stunning venue has seen opera singers, fireworks, live theatre shows and outdoor movies.

It even hosts a huge event, aptly named the Great Big Weekend music festival, which will be headlined by Serene Ryder, Corb Lund, Blue Rodeo, and William Prince this August.
