New non-stop flights are coming to Toronto including routes to Norway and France

If you’re in denial about summer in Toronto coming to an end and are keen on locking down your next travel plans, you’ll be pleased to hear that a bunch of new direct flights will be launching out of Pearson Airport soon.

On Thursday, Air Canada announced that it will be adding four new international routes to its Summer 2027 network, including direct flights from Toronto to Oslo, Norway; Shannon, Ireland; and Nice, France.

As part of its expansion, the airline will also resume its popular Toronto to London-Heathrow day-tripper service, boost its Toronto-Shanghai flights to daily, and launch new flights to Guatemala City this December, which will begin operating year-round next May.

The carrier is gearing up to launch several new flights this winter from Toronto ahead of its summer expansion, including direct routes to Quito, Ecuador, and Tenerife, Spain, as well as year-round operations to Manchester, U.K., and Copenhagen, Denmark.

Starting next summer, Air Canada’s network will grow to serve three destinations in Scandinavia, including existing routes to Stockholm and Copenhagen, and a new direct option to Oslo, operating on the airline’s new Airbus A321XLR fleet.

Flights from Toronto to Oslo will operate four times a week starting June 2 until Oct. 10. Departing flights will take off from Pearson Airport around 9:30 p.m., local time, and arrive in Oslo at 11:15 a.m. the following day. Returning flights also operate four times a week, departing at 12:30 p.m. from Oslo and arriving in Toronto at 2:40 p.m.

The carrier’s new flights to Shannon represent its second destination in Ireland, and join its long-standing service to Dublin. With the launch of the new service, Air Canada will be the only airline to offer a non-stop option between Canada and the western Irish town.

Flights launch on June 10 from Toronto, operating three times a week. Departing flights will take off at 9:30 p.m., arriving in Ireland at 9:05 a.m. the next day. Returning flights leave at 10:20 a.m. and arrive back in Toronto at 12:35 p.m.

Air Canada will also be the only airline with a non-stop service linking Toronto and one of Europe’s most popular beach destinations, Nice, next summer. Flights will launch on June 16 and operate twice weekly. Toronto flights depart at 7:30 p.m., arriving in Nice at 9:40 a.m., while returning flights depart at 11:10 a.m. and return back to Toronto at 2:30 p.m.

Ahead of its summer expansion, Air Canada will launch a non-stop service linking Toronto to Guatemala City, making it the only airline to do so. The carrier’s year-round service will begin on May 6 and operate once weekly, with flights departing at 6:15 p.m. from Toronto and arriving in Guatemala City at 9:15 p.m.

Returning flights take off at 9:30 a.m. and land back in Toronto at 4:15 p.m.

Starting May 1, Air Canada’s London Heathrow day-tripper will operate from Pearson Airport, which allows you to fly across the pond during the day and arrive in England in the evening, without losing a night of sleep.

The daily flights will depart Toronto at 8:30 a.m. and arrive in London at 9 p.m. the same day.

The airline’s new flights are now available for booking online.
