Calgary is desperately in need of a hot spot this summer. Now that the Stampede along with every other major event in the city has been cancelled or postponed due to the COVID-19 virus, a lot of you need something more to look forward to. Well, have we got a treat for a few of you! Look no further and wait no longer, because the highly anticipated Phil Mickelson designed golf course, Mickelson National officially opened this week, and it’s breathtaking… even if you hardly know how to hold a golf club, like ourselves.

We’re certainly no sports aficionado, but we know Phil Mickelson is. The man is a legend, winning on the PGA tour 44 times. Who better to design a brand new course right here?

The new Mickelson National golf course took nearly 13 years to complete and still has a way to go. In the next few months, they’ll also be opening the Range facility. A year-round clubhouse with seating for 200 people, a golf shop, a grab n’ go cafe, plus a formal dining room. Fancy.

Until then, they’re inviting the public to tee off on their spiffy 18-hole course. You can book a time here, or sign up to be a member here! A reminder that Father’s day is coming up folks! Perhaps this would make a good gift? Perhaps.
