Ice skating enthusiasts, take note. The ultimate outdoor “rink” is about to reopen for the season, and it’s unlike any other experience in the province. The 1 km-long Adventure Skating Loop at Apex Mountain Resort is surrounded by lush forest, giving skaters the chance to glide through the trees hand-in-hand with their loved ones. The best part? You won’t have to wait much longer before the skating loop finally re-opens for the season!

The resort confirmed in a message with Curiocity the anticipated reopening date of Friday, December 16th. So get ready to head to Penticton for some pre-holiday fun!

The skating loop is maintained by the Apex Zamboni and cleared every day that it’s open, and typically closes for the season around mid-March. Whether you bring your own skates or rent them at the Apex Rental Shop for $17 a pop, skaters are bound to make some core winter memories.
