If you’re looking for some fun ‘After Dark’ events to check out in Vancouver this summer, you’re in luck. There are multiple attractions and businesses around the city offering adult-friendly events, many of which are recurring! So get ready to explore some of your favourite spots (or check out a new one), accompanied by an adult-only beverage or two.
Here are some adult-friendly events happening in Vancouver this summer.
Adults can now wander the marine life exhibits child-free and meet the thousands of animals that call the aquarium home at the Vancouver Aquarium’s new Fish & Sips series. Visitors aged 19 and above will discover over 65,000 rescued sea lions and otters, crabs, tropical fish, frogs, Amazonian sloths and gators, and much more – all the while sipping on delicious drinks and snacking on small bites, while enjoying live entertainment in the background.

If getting buzzed at Science World on a Thursday sounds like a good time (which we definitely think it is), you won’t want to miss out on Science World After Dark this summer. With admission, adults are free to explore six permanent galleries at the museum as well as the new exhibits, including James Cameron’s Challenging the Deep.
Best of all? The next After Dark event will be a special event in celebration of Pride, complete with drag performances, delicious food, and inclusive STEAM ((science, technology, engineering, arts & design, and mathematics) activities.

While this one’s not quite adults-only, it’s definitely a fun adult-friendly event that is open to all ages. From 7 to 9:30 pm on Thursday, July 13th, the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre will host a drag night with music and astronomy under the dome in the Planetarium Star Theatre. So if you love drag and want to learn more about some of the most puzzling astronomical queries – this is a perfect fit.
Guests will journey through the early eras of space travel and explore the technology, triumphs, and challenges astronauts of the time faced – accompanied by the biggest rock hits of the 60s, 70s, and 80s.
