A patio paradise with a butterfly garden & wishing tree is coming to this Toronto neighbourhood

It’s patio season, Toronto! Ever since the restrictions lifted and outdoor dining became a thing again, the city streets have been livelier than ever. Well, one Toronto neighbourhood is ramping things up even more, by creating a bright and beautiful patio paradise folks all over the area can enjoy!

We’re talking The Junction, people. This popping city spot is about to get even more vibrant. The neighbourhood has a goal to bring back art and culture to its community, and they’re doing it in an awesome way. The ultimate patio paradise has taken over, with over 50 patios participating. There’s loads of great pop-art, picnic tables, umbrellas, unique dining areas, and more!

Of all the great stuff going on in The Junction, there are three major highlights to this patio paradise. One is Toronto’s first-ever Augmented Reality Mural. Designed by local artists and the internationally acclaimed AP app ARTivive, this work showcases 60s-inspired pop art featuring classic wings for visitors to snap a picture of in front of.

The second highlight of the summer will be The Junction Butterfly Garden. Between June 21st – June 27th, you can stop by to check out a ton of colourful blooms and butterflies. It’ll all be taking place at 2859 Dundas St W, so be sure to pencil in a visit.

Finally, the area’s got a Wishing Tree coming away. The 6-foot tall tree, standing in front of Latitude 44 Gallery (2900 Dundas St W) will provide a place for people to write down all their hopes and dreams for the future. Just attach your note to the tree and you’re good to go!

The project is an awesome way to get out and enjoy the vibrancy of The Junction. Plus, you’ll be supporting great local spots along the way.
