A new Netflix series is set right here in Seattle and was written by a local author!

It looks like Seattle is going is hitting the big screens again (well Netflix to be exact). Because the highly anticipated ‘Firefly Lane’ is set right here in Seattle and Snohomish! But before you get too excited, filming was of course done in Vancouver, BC.

The show is based on the best selling novel by Bainbridge Island author Kristin Hannah. And the story is about two lifelong friends Tully and Kate and how their lives differ throughout time. You could say it’s a love story about the bonds that we create with friends. So if you need something wholesome to watch this is a great option.

Tully (Katherine Heigl) is a wealthy television host in Seattle and Kate (Sarah Chalke) is a stay-at-home mom. So from that alone, you can gather just a few of the themes that will be explored in the show. And of course, if you’ve read the books you can expect something similar to what’s on the pages.
