Hear ye! Hear ye! Lords, ladies, fools, and friends – don thy burlap and hath no fear, the city’s most eccentric weekend is almost here. This August, get in character and stay in character for an event unlike anything else – the Calgary Medieval Faire & Artisan Market!

From August 20th until the 22nd, historians, fantasy fans, and fun-seekers will be encouraged to fully immerse themselves into the 13th, 14th, and 15th centuries, a time long before toothbrushes, sliced bread, and light switches.

From jousts and jugglers to turkey legs and armour, live out your every Princess Bride, Knights Tale -inspired dream, mix, mingle and make some memories all while brushing shoulders with royalty and squires alike.

Unapologetically embrace traditional slang, wander various merchants selling on-brand goods, indulge in a cup of ale or two, enter to win prizes, and take in some old-timey entertainment including magicians, stilt walkers and more – it’s expected to be wild.

If this sounds like something you’d be in to – check out their website here “as you wish,” and snag yourself a ticket!

Not going would be simply “inconceivable!”
