A huge festival is hitting Calgary this winter & they’re looking for local bands to play the event

We know, we know. We’ve got a minute before the snow starts falling around here, but there’s no harm in planning ahead – especially if you’re looking for a gig! This January, Calgary’s Big Winter Classic returns and right now, they’re looking for musicians to fill the city air with music during the event!

A weekend meant to prove that you can still have a good time even in the chillier months, The BWC will hit some of your favourite bars and clubs yet again, harder and heavier than ever before – or, at least it’ll feel that way because we’ve been devoid of in-person celebrations for so long.

Now, although they’ll also have a beer (lots of it) and local art, this all-over shindig just wouldn’t be as fun without the live music and that’s where you guys come in!

From now until September 26th, the 6th edition of the Classic will be auditioning Calgary bands of all genres to bang out a few tunes – for cash!

If selected each band will get $150 for each show played, in addition to exposure (which is really where you’d be taking the W.)

Interested? Application forms can be filled out and submitted here – but get on it ASAP! Only 400 will be chosen to take part, and we want you to be among them!

Good luck and we hope to see you on stage this January!
