A new spot for mochi donuts in Vancouver just announced that they’re gearing up to open, and will be ready by the start of April! Mochido is the first to bring the hybrid to the city, and we have to admit that it looks absolutely delicious. Here’s what you can expect.

True to its name, the mochi donut brings the best of both worlds together. You get that initial soft and fluffy donut bite, that then gets a little chewy in your mouth. They’ve also got a pretty iconic shape- and, they’re actually meant to be pulled apart that way. Mochido will have a rotating list of flavours, but they’ve already teased one (it’s salted brown butter).

While they get their legs under them, Mochido will only be offering pick-up for the first few weeks. But, we definitely think it’s worth heading down to South Vancouver to get your hands on them. What do you think is better, a souffle pancake or a mochi donut? You’ll have to let us know.

This new spot for mochi donuts in Vancouver has a soft opening on April 2nd, so mark your calendars, folks!
