It’s long been said that the mountains come to life in the wintertime, but now they have a voice. This holiday season, experience the peaks and valleys of Alberta’s Rockies under colourful lights and a blanket of stars during Nightrise, a brand new multi-media event at the Banff Gondola.
A creative collaboration between Pursuit, Montreal’s Moment Factory, and the Stoney Nakoda Nation, this sensory spectacular was inspired by the human connection to nature and is meant to enhance the wonder of each natural site.

Upon their arrival, guests will climb aboard a cable car where a tranquil storytime will guide them up and into the experience which begins almost immediately after exiting the vehicle.
With three floors of indoor/outdoor sights to explore, delve deeper into what the magical snow-covered landscape means to the proud nation of people whose ancestors called the area home.


Each level of the summit building has a separate installation featuring everything from grand effects and interactive projections to soundscapes and seasonal comforts like hot chocolate and firepits.
Enjoy drinks, food, music and learn more about the night sky and the mysterious wonders that only emerge after dark – all of which will leave you with a reinvigorated appreciation for Sulpher Mountain and the 5 senses.

Nightrise kicks off tonight, December 2nd and will only run March 12th, 2022 – so don’t hesitate.
