After what’s sure to be an incredible run for Team Canada at the Tokyo 2020 games, the athletes will head to Etobicoke for homecoming celebrations with fans at CF Sherway Gardens. An outdoor drive-in event will be “the first chance for Canadians to gather to celebrate Team Canada athletes’ after their inspirational performances,” says the event’s description. There will even be special guest performers to make the night extra special.
Among the athletes attending are Melissa Humana-Paredes and Sarah Pavan, who are representing Team Canada in beach volleyball. Elijah woods and JESSICA are slated to hit the stage to perform their chart-topping songs.
And what’s a party without snacks? All guests will get their hands on some free OREOS, Ritz crackers, and other goodies, so bring your appetite.

“The Homecoming event is our way to rally our enthusiastic community and fans to show our collective pride and support of their resilience and determination during a difficult year, and celebrate what they’ve achieved at Tokyo 2020 this summer,” said Sherway Gardens president Andy Traynor.
Tickets to this event go on sale on August 3rd and are $15 each, per car. Entry is first come, first served, so you might want to show up early to get a spot up front.
With all the medals Team Canada has won so far, the vibes will most certainly be high!
